Shopping in the Macedon Ranges
From one-of-a-kind handmade crafts to fashion by local makers and designers. Antiques and collectibles you’d expect to find in a small country town. And boutique art galleries, gorgeous clothing stores and independent bookshops. Whether you want to browse a beautiful garden nursery, buy a Persian rug or frock up with a new dress – the Macedon Ranges has a bounty of choices to satiate your shopping appetite.
Each of our nine villages offers its own unique retail experience served up with a big dose of friendly country service. Explore basements, courtyards and attics in Riddells Creek, Lancefield, Malmsbury or Romsey for classic and unusual pieces from past and present.
After some serious retail therapy?
For a full day out, Kyneton is the retail shopping mecca of the Macedon Ranges. Historic Piper Street oozes charm and history, with charming old buildings housing contemporary and vintage clothing, Belgian linen, quality woolen jumpers, baskets, ceramics, art, handcrafted jewellery, homewares and so much more.
The town is home to a number of op shops for bargain and vintage hunters, in addition to carefully curated antique and vintage retail stores. There are also little treasures to be found on Kyneton’s High and Mollison Streets, including art and craft, books, fashion and fabrics.
In nearby Woodend, you’ll discover more beautiful stores selling locally and internationally sourced knick-knacks, homewares, art, antiques and fashion. Stroll along High Street and Anslow Street to seek out ceramics, books, kitchenware and Australian-made products, and pick up a bargain or two in Woodend’s op shops.
