Playgrounds in the Macedon Ranges
Many of our villages offer beautiful playgrounds for families to enjoy in the Macedon Ranges.
Kyneton Community Park
The beautiful Kyneton Community Park play space includes activities and picnic areas ideal for a family day out.
In addition to outdoor seating and plenty of landscaped lawn areas to picnic, there is an undercover BBQ and accessible toilet facilities. Follow up your visit with a stroll along the tranquil Campaspe River Walk.

Woodend Children’s Park
The Woodend Children’s Park incorporates a large array of diverse and challenging play equipment. Play experiences cater for children of all ages with the toddler and junior play area being fully fenced.
The playground is set in a large open space setting with a scattering of native trees providing shaded areas to sit and play. BBQ shelters are located throughout the park. Make sure to swing by Woodend Ice Cream Co afterward!

Romsey Eco Therapy Park
The award winning Romsey Eco Therapy Park is a unique experience consisting of play equipment, art installations, sensory gardens and picnic areas.
Bring the kids to enjoy an Active Nature Space aimed at younger children, plus a huge climbing forest for older children and adults.
Discover the park’s Sensory Therapeutic Space (featuring sensory gardens, permanent art installations including kinetic and sound sculpture elements, ephemeral billabong, sand play, and a water feature). This unique park inclusion offers a valuable nature-based resource for the elderly, those recovering from illness, or merely wanting respite from daily life.
There’s also an Arts Culture Space featuring an outdoor event space and picnic facilities.

Gisborne Adventure Playground
Located along the Jacksons Creek Reserve, Gisborne Adventure Playground incorporates a large diversity of play equipment. Catering for children of all ages, the play areas are fully fenced and accessible, and includes a wheelchair swing. There is also a barbecue area and rotunda.

Other playgrounds can be found at Malmsbury Botanic Gardens, Riddells Creek Lions Park and Lancefield Park, which also boasts a fantastic skatepark.

Travel by train to Malmsbury
Catch the V/Line train to the quaint station of Malmsbury, only a short walk to the beautiful Malmsbury Botanic Gardens and old bluestone viaduct. Enjoy a picnic and a visit to the local pub.
