Cellar door dining in the Macedon Ranges

Our cellar doors are generally small, intimate spaces and are often booked out well in advance for dining. Make sure to reserve your table early – then enjoy the anticipation of a beautiful meal paired with our award-winning cool climate wines.
Mount Macedon Winery
Set on 80 acres of farmland, this beautiful mountain winery offers a rustic indoor dining experience or deck with sweeping views of the vineyard. With a focus on local produce, Mount Macedon Winery‘s restaurant is open Thursday to Sunday for lunch from 11.30pm and dinner Friday and Saturdays.
Please make sure to call in advance, as the winery may be closed for a function. Advance bookings are a must.
Mount Towrong Vineyard
Mount Towrong Vineyard is situated at 600 metres above sea level with stunning views of Mount Macedon and Mount Towrong. This popular cellar door serves outstanding Italian-style cuisine paired with their Italian wine varietals. Explore the magnificent Forest Glade Open Garden afterward for the perfect day out.

Mount Monument
One of the newest cellar doors in the Macedon Ranges. Mount Monument Wines is located in Romsey and offers a contemporary cellar door, combined with delicious food and a unique sculpture park experience.
Bookings are essential for cellar door wine tastings and sculpture park viewings ($15 per person). Visitors can sample Pinot Noir, Riesling, Shiraz and Chardonnay by award-winning winemaker Ben Ranken, while selecting from a cellar door menu showcasing seasonal produce. The menu is also designed to cater for gluten-free and vegan patrons.
Afterward, enjoy a peaceful stroll in the new Romsey Eco Therapy Park, designed for all ages to engage with nature.
Open 11am – 4pm Friday to Sunday. Note – children are currently not able to visit this cellar door.
Kyneton Ridge Estate
Kyneton Ridge Estate is a short drive from the centre of Kyneton and backs onto the stunning Black Hill Reserve. Dine indoors or al fresco in the Ridge Cafe and choose from a menu of home-style meals including soups and wood-fired pizzas. Art lovers can view artwork created by established and emerging artists exhibited in the Kyneton Ridge Artspace. While nature lovers can watch kangaroos hopping through the vineyard.
Stretch your legs afterward with a walk in the reserve. Nearby Piper Street in Kyneton is the perfect spot to enjoy some retail therapy to round off the day.

Cleveland Winery & Resort
Cleveland Winery & Resort is set on the most beautiful garden estate, surrounded by vines and pastoral farmland. Its restaurant serves wood-fired pizzas from 12pm – 3pm on weekends, where you can enjoy views of their vineyard and Mount William from the deck in summer. Carriage House Restaurant also offers a la carte dining for dinner on Friday and Saturday.
The resort’s unique underground cellar door is the only one of its kind in the region and a must for visitors. Afterward, browse through historic Lancefield’s antique stores and galleries afterward, or book accommodation at the winery’s resort and enjoy its facilities.
Make sure to reserve a table in advance as the restaurant may be closed for a private function.
Gisborne Peak Winery
Only a short drive from Melbourne CBD, Gisborne Peak Winery‘s pooch-friendly cellar door is open for lunch six days a week. Known for gourmet wood-fired pizza, the menu also includes favourites such as baked brie, meatballs and arancini.
It’s a particularly lovely spot to visit in the warmer months, when you can sit on their deck overlooking a pond and the vineyard.
Open 11.30am – 4pm Tuesday to Friday and 11.30am – 4pm weekends.
