More from Mount Monument Cellar Door & Sculptures

Mount Monument is a single vineyard that sits at the base of a mamelon formed 6.25 million years ago. It offers an unspoiled environment in which to produce long-lived complex wines. At approximately 630m the vineyard’s rare volcanic silica soils find expression in our Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Grenache Rose, Shiraz and Greco.

Mount Monument wine is synonymous with excellence. A unique range of elegant and distinct handcrafted wines are produced in limited quantities.

Cellar door and sculptures

Enjoy an exquisite cool-climate wine tasting experience of our vintages followed by an exploration of our sculptures. While our restaurant will be opening at a later date, lunch will be available at the cellar door showcasing seasonal produce. Reservations are recommended before attending the property for both cellar door and sculptures, however walk-ins are welcome.

Cost for tastings are $15 per person and are available from Friday to Sunday, 11-4pm.

Book a tasting and sculpture viewing now.

Please note: At this time, due to permit restrictions, we can only allow children 12 and above but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We are in the process of applying for an amended permit to accommodate an increase in patrons. Though enticing, we trust that patrons will respect the artists and refrain from climbing the artworks.

The winemaker

Macedon’s Winemaker extraordinaire Ben Ranken crafts the wines through organic and biodynamic processes.

Ben is the winner of the 2021 Young Gun of Wine Vigneron Award for the “…commitment that Ben Ranken has made to a region that is poised to be a major voice in the future of great Australian wine.”

“Ranken’s work amongst the vines is focused as much on improving the expression of his fruit to make ever-better wine as it is to restore a natural balance for broader environmental goals.”

The Visionary

Mount Monument visionary Nonda Katsalidis is the award winning architect of iconic buildings such as the highly regarded MONA (Museum of Old and New Art), the skyward Eureka Tower and Australia 108.
