Duneira Estate Winter House Tours

If you're looking for something to do on a cold winter's day then look no further! Duneira is running guided Winter House tours showcasing Stuart Stoneman's extensive Art Collection. Stoneman was Duneira's last owner who, upon his death in 2002, bequeathed his estate and his collections to the care of the S.R.Stoneman Foundation. Duneira estate is an historically significant original hill station on the southern slopes of Mount Macedon. The main residence was built between 1874-1875 as a summer residence for pastoralist Suetonius Officer. It was designed by architect Levi Powell and has an Italianate villa style exterior while the internal layout is similar to that of a neo-classical English country house. Duneira is considered to be the 'jewel in the crown' of the few remaining grand hill stations left intact on Mt Macedon after the devasting bushfires of 1983. Along with the Stoneman Art Collection, the house features an extensive library, Persian rugs, grand pianos and interesting period furniture. During this tour our knowledgeable guide will provide fascinating insights into the story of Duneira and it's six owners. This tour includes morning tea in the newly restored Stables. Macedon Village Farmer's Market

Come down and visit some of the finest producers in the state at the Macedon Village Farmers' Market, held below the majestic Mount Macedon on the welcoming grounds of Macedon Primary School. The market will be an extension of the Woodend Community Farmers' Market and you can look forward to shopping with many of the same stallholders, who will be bringing their high quality produce to the Macedon and surrounding communities, 4 times per year on the 5th Saturday. You can expect the same focus on sustainability, authenticity and community as the Woodend Farmers' Market. The Macedon Primary School are involving the school community in this event and will use any funds raised to further their landcare project.

From stunning visual arts, the Grande Parade, scarecrow making, and lots more - local and visitors alike are invited to join in on this highly-anticipated annual celebration of the splendours of springtime.

Kyneton Antique Fair 2025

Celebrate the arrival of spring and come along to the 27th Kyneton Antique Fair held in the Quambi Stadium at Sacred Heart College. It is also the first weekend of the annual Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival so you can make the most of your trip to Kyneton to visit gardens, galleries, and art shows too. Indulge in antiques for every taste, fine china, treasures from Asia, jewellery, linen, glassware, lithographs, furniture, and much more. There will be around 25 dealers from far and wide with all stalls in the same space. Set in the beautiful grounds of the College there is lots of parking adjacent to the venue. Experience some tasty refreshments which will be available on site. This is a major fundraising event for Macedon Ranges Friends of Turiscai, and ALL funds raised will support our friends in Turiscai in the remote mountains of Timor-Leste. Admission: $8.00 Adults. Entry for children is free. Parking on site, enter via Begg Street.

The network of Bolobek Garden Fair stallholders is just the beginning. We encourage you to Save the Date for 4 & 5 October 2025! Throughout the weekend, you can explore the Bolobek gardens on guided tours, attend workshops, listen to keynote speakers, and enjoy book signings from our special guests. Spectacular Bolobek lies at the foot of the Macedon Ranges, just 60 km or an hour from Melbourne. Since its inception in 2003, the Bolobek Garden Fair (formerly known as The Garden Lovers’ Fair) has grown to become one of the largest and most popular garden fairs in Victoria with over 3,000 people attending annually. The two-day event is held on the grounds of Bolobek, one of Victoria’s most historically significant gardens. Hosting over 50 specialist stallholders, attendees can also explore the Bolobek gardens on guided tours, attend workshops, listen to keynote speakers and enjoy book signings from special guests. Budburst Wine Festival 2025

Budburst is back for another fabulous weekend in the Macedon Ranges. Taking place Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November 2025, this is your once-a-year opportunity to go beyond the cellar door, sip rare wines you won’t find anywhere else, and meet the passionate people who craft some of Australia’s most exciting cool-climate wines. At Budburst, you don’t just taste wine…You wander. You wonder. You get a little lost and you discover something rare & unforgettable. Over two festival days, more than 20 winemakers across 15+ Budburst venues will open their doors, to offer wine tastings, varied food and entertainment offerings, while sharing their stories. From established icons to hidden gems, Budburst is all about connection - between the makers, the wines, and you. Just under an hour from Melbourne, but a world away from ordinary, Budburst is a must for wine enthusiasts, culture seekers, and weekend wanderers Victoria-wide and beyond. Embrace the opportunity to lose yourself in the wine, the produce, and the magic of Macedon Ranges. Festival hours run from 10am to 5pm each day, with tastings, curated food menus, and the chance to chat directly with the winemakers at every stop. Designated drivers and children under 18 are invited to join the festival for free. TRANSPORT OPTIONS Leave the driving to someone else and jump on one of the hop-on/hop-off Budburst bus routes. On Saturday Budburst buses will take ticket holders directly to cellar doors around the Macedon Ranges, allowing you to visit up to 5 Budburst venues, with 6+ wineries on each loop. Tickets are $105 for a combined Saturday bus ticket and weekend festival pass. Alternatively, a number of local wine tour companies have bespoke options for you to choose from. More information available on the Budburst website. If you prefer to plan your own adventure, a number of suggested self-drive itineraries will be available on the festival website. Popular wines include refined Chardonnays and award-winning Pinot Noirs as well as elegant sparkling varietals. Many wineries are boutique and family-owned, creating signature wines using traditional techniques. As a result, the region is appreciated for cool-climate wines that are limited in quantity and exceptionally high in quality.
