HIGHLANDER Mt Macedon 1DAY Hiking Adventure
The Macedon Ranges is excited to welcome a new event at the end of 2026, with HIGHLANDER Adventure Mt Macedon 1DAY bringing a full-day hiking Adventure to Mt Macedon on Saturday 5 December.
The 19km non-competitive hike is perfect for beginners and intermediate hikers wanting to experience a meaningful day outdoors. It follows a curated route through rugged rocky trails, beautiful towering eucalypt forests, and scenic viewpoints overlooking the surrounding countryside. Participants move through the course at their own pace, with the experience centred around enjoying the journey and sharing the trail.
The event welcomes families, friends, colleagues and teams, creating an opportunity to spend time outdoors with a challenge component, meet people, connect with Nature and experience the mountain together.
The hike finishes at the HIGHLANDER Hub, where the day continues with food, music, activities, educational workshops and entertainment. It provides a place to relax, reconnect and celebrate the completion of the hike. HIGHLANDER Adventure originated in Croatia and is now developing as an international adventure series across Australia, with both multi-day and single-day hiking events. HIGHLANDER Mt Macedon 1DAY is the newest addition to the Australian series, bringing a new way to experience the mountain within easy reach of Melbourne.
It offers locals and visitors a chance to experience the area from a different perspective while enjoying a memorable weekend in one of Victoria’s most scenic destinations.
