About Money and Friends
Peter is an academic who suddenly finds himself in serious financial trouble. His wealthy friends are sympathetic, but when it comes to actually helping him out, things become considerably more complicated.
As Peter’s situation unfolds, friendships are tested and uncomfortable questions emerge about loyalty, generosity and the true value of friendship. With David Williamson’s trademark wit and sharp observations of Australian society, Money and Friends is a comedy that is both entertaining and thought-provoking.
Set in a coastal Australian community in the early 1990s, the play offers plenty of laughs while exploring the sometimes complicated relationship between money and friendship.
