Relax on the lush lawns, enjoy live local racing, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere under the shade of the beautiful trees within the reserve. Climb the famous Hanging Rock (if you’re feeling energetic!), catch up with friends and family and let the kids have a blast in our extensive children’s activity area.

TAC shuttle bus operates on a loop from Woodend Station to the Rock. Per person cost, no booking needed!

Access to Hanging Rock Reserve on 1 January, New Years Day, designated event race day
On 1 January each year, Hanging Rock is closed to non-racegoers. Separate event entry fees apply. Hanging Rock opens at 11am on Kyneton & Hanging Rock Race meet days. The Summit walking trail is open for racing patrons to enjoy until 3:00pm. The Creek Walk is closed. The Base Walk is open all day. The Discovery Centre and Café will be closed.
