Art in the Vines: Art in Motion 2

Set against the spectacular backdrop of Hanging Rock, Mount Macedon and the surrounding vineyards of the Macedon Ranges, Art in the Vines: Art in Motion 2 brings contemporary sculpture into the landscape at Hanging Rock Winery.

This year’s exhibition celebrates kinetic sculpture, with more than 20 works by some of Victoria’s best-known and highly regarded sculptors. Designed to move, respond and change with the wind and environment, the works create an engaging outdoor exhibition that is constantly evolving.

A highlight of Art in Motion 2 is a special collection of works by renowned kinetic sculptor Rudi Jass, alongside striking pieces by acclaimed artists Darren Gilbert and Issa Ouattara, as well as works from artists from across Victoria and interstate.

The exhibition is spread across three acres of lawn surrounding the winery’s Cellar Door, with views across the vineyard to Hanging Rock and Mount Macedon. Visitors are encouraged to wander through the sculptures at their own pace, enjoy a wine tasting or local produce platter, and make a day of exploring the Macedon Ranges.

Art in the Vines is free to visit and welcomes families and dogs on leads.
