C the Market has been running foraging tours in Macedon for the past six years. This is the second year we have teamed up with professional foragers, Richard Ford and his team at Australian Wild Herbs & Mushrooms to share with you a new Mushroom Foraging experience in the forests of Macedon.
We welcome you to join one of our Mushroom Foraging workshops, starting on Sunday 30th April, and running a selection of morning and afternoon sessions through to Saturday 27th May. Tickets are $85 per person for the 2.5-hour workshop.
With over 30 years of foraging experience, there won’t be much Richard won’t be able to share with us about mushrooms during your event. These 2 – 2.5 hour educational focus workshops are in an easily accessible style so that we can all learn how to forage, where to forage, and most importantly, the safest way to enjoy this uniquely Autumn activity. Suitable for anyone interested to learn how to recognise and safely collect edible mushrooms and further their fungi knowledge. This event focuses on identifying and collecting edible pine mushrooms and slippery jacks.
Please note these events are very similar to 2022 but have a different style and format to our events in previous years.
ALL PARTICIPANTS AGREE TO HAVE ALL FORAGED MUSHROOMS CHECKED BY OUR ‘EXPERTS’ before removing from the plantations. We do not allow toxic mushrooms to be taken from the workshop..

Meeting in Smith St Macedon.
We only run the sessions if we’re confident of finding foraged mushrooms during the event. If we change locations due to the lack of mushrooms in Macedon, we will give you notice and if our new location doesn’t suit you, we can transfer or refund your tickets. If we need to cancel the event due to a lack of mushrooms, you can transfer your booking to the next available session or ask for a refund. Ordinarily, refunds are not available.
