About Kyneton Museum
Kyneton Museum is located in the original Bank of New South Wales building C.1856.
The lower floor is now used for temporary exhibitions and upstairs is a recreated manager’s residence of the mid-late 1800s. Outdoor exhibits include bluestone stables, kitchen, laundry, farm machinery and vehicle sheds and Theaden Cottage. Exploration of the museum is a great family-friendly experience, and a fun free kids activity during the Easter school holidays.

Our Latest Exhibition:
Discover something old, something new at the Kyneton Museum. Brides of the Bank explores the lost and continuing traditions of weddings, through the gowns, photographs, and keepsakes of generations of local brides.

The exhibition and museum open 11.00am to 4pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday – including over the Easter weekend. Exhibition entry also includes access to the entire Bank of New South Wales museum building, as well as the outdoor exhibits including the original bluestone stables, servant’s kitchen, and laundry.
