The Last Exhibition: Lasting Impressions – Global Village Learning Community
An Exhibition of transformed wooden shoemaker’s lasts into deeply personal expressions, shaped by memory, identity, and imagination.
The secondary students of Global Village Learning Community have organised and invited local Artists, students, and community members to transform wooden shoemaker’s lasts into deeply personal expressions, shaped by memory, identity, and imagination.
These lasts were once used by master craftsman Emmanuel Camilleri, a shoe maker to many including the Queen of England, but this exhibition isn’t about the lasts as shoes it is about what we carry, and what we leave behind.
As you step into this space ask yourself, ‘What will be my lasting impression?’
