Savour seasonal produce, foodie feasts, bewitching gardens, twilight escapades, plus an Autumn Festival event calendar jam-packed with farmers markets, exhibitions, experiences, workshops, kids activities, and lots more. Collect the popular Festival Map & Passport to eat and drink your way across Australia’s Biggest Pie & Tart Trail, or the full of spirit Tipple Trail. Gather Passport stamps at participating venues to enter the Ultimate Autumn Festival competition.

Where does the Festival take place?
The Festival is not held in one single location. It is a celebration of many individual events in different locations, along with food and drink trails across the nine villages of the Macedon Ranges. Festival visitors can design their own Festival itinerary, picking from dozens of event experiences, along with following popular Food & Drink Trails.
Although our google map on this page will show Woodend Visitor Information Centre as the address, this is just one of many locations where you can collect a Festival Map & Passport, and of course, have support during your visit from our wonderful Visitor Information Centre team.  Check out our Festival Frequently Asked Questions to help plan your visit throughout April

Australia’s Biggest Pie & Tart Trail
Over 50 venues will be cooking up delicious pies, tarts, and other buttery, crumbly interpretations as part of the Autumn Pie and Tart Trail –making it the biggest pie trail in Australia! Perhaps start with savoury and then move on to sweet, or vice versa.  Take on the challenge to eat your way around the Macedon Ranges across the thirty Festival days!

Tipple Trail!
Leveraging the success of Australia’s Biggest Pie & Tart Trail, the refreshing Autumn Tipple Trail features more than 30 Macedon Ranges venues each heroing a signature drink for the adults in your travel group. Nominate a designated driver and explore responsibly throughout April to get a taste of the Macedon Ranges’ craft brewers, gin distillers, cool country wine makers, along with country pubs and wine-bars showcasing their cocktail making talent.
