About Wotama – Boutique Accommodation – Mount Macedon

Welcome to Wotama – The perfect place to enjoy a romantic weekend, retreat or short-term getaway.“A place full of beauty, charm and adventure – come to relax, explore and discover.”

We offer a quality self-contained suite/apartment located on a 4-acre private country property on the unique & spectacular Avenue of Honour in Mount Macedon. The accommodation is surrounded by beautiful trees, rose garden, sculptures and a majestic view looking up the mountain. Set back from the road you will reside in a separate private wing to the main house – where there is tranquility and peace amongst the mix of European, ornamental trees in the more formal garden or native trees with natural beauty of the dam, ducks, sheep and wildlife at the rear of the property.

Located close to the local villages of Macedon, Mt Macedon, Woodend, Hanging Rock, Kyneton, Trentham, and Daylesford – the area offers art & crafts, open gardens, hiking, restaurants, wineries, markets and amazing local produce – yet only a short 45-minutes’ drive from Melbourne’s city center and close to the airport.

“Wotama” – meaning peaceful and calm, sits at the foothills of Mount Macedon in the heart of the Macedon Ranges & Victorian Highlands offering inspiring scenery and beauty. Enjoy the many local hikes and views, wineries, markets, bike rides or visit our surrounding country towns and villages.

Enjoy a short stay, a long weekend, or maybe a week or more? You may wish to venture further afield to Hepburn Springs or Daylesford for their renowned day spas, fabulous shopping, galleries and restaurants.

Macedon Autumn leaves walk, Honour Avenue – The avenue has become an Autumnal mecca for those chasing beautiful photos, wedding pictures or portraits. The towering Pin Oaks were planted to honor the men and women from the region who enlisted in World War 1 and for those interested in the history there are memorials at the Mount Macedon Road end of the Avenue.

This 500-metre avenue of Pin Oaks is an annual drawcard for tourists in the Autumn months to enjoy

“Be surrounded by nature, beauty, charm and adventure – Come to discover, celebrate and explore”
