Woodend Community Farmers Market

Authentic, community-based farmers’ market – 1st Saturday of the month, 9am.

This market is accredited with the Victorian Farmers’ Markets Association, the peak body for farmers’ markets in the state. Look for the tick of authenticity when shopping at farmers’ markets.

We have a great central site at the Woodend Community Centre/Library, an easy walk if you live in town, under the shade of lovely trees & plenty of space to throw down a picnic rug.

The Woodend Community Farmers’ Market includes fresh local produce – fruit & vegetables, honey, eggs, organic breads, preserves, herbs & potted plants, teas, yummy foods, meats, poultry & other small livestock, free face-painting, live music, Home Produce Exchange & is proudly plastic bag free!

And have you heard the news?
Woodend has risen to new heights – now within the Top 3 Market Towns in the World for 2025!

Announced at the World Farmers Markets Coalition Awards in Rome, this global honour places Woodend Community Farmers Market alongside Rome, Italy and Dakar, India as leaders in sustainable, community-driven food systems.

For a regional Victorian town to achieve this recognition is nothing short of extraordinary — and a perfect reason to plan your next day trip to Woodend. Read more about Woodend’s well-earned accolade.
