Flop House has commissioned a special exhibition of vessels by Ruth Laird, Fork Ceramics. Ruth has been a potter now for nearly a decade, her main attraction to the wheel being a strong connection to the earth. In this latest series of works, Ruth has produced a series of magical vessels that may conjure up an Aegean shipwreck or perhaps a home for a genie? They remain earthy organic forms but are emboldened by gold glazed handles and decorative adornment.
