Pack a picnic with local produce from our wonderful providores, bakeries and the Kyneton Farmers Market. Pick up a pie from along the Autumn Pie & Tart Trail. Or get takeaway from a local cafe or restaurant. The Autumn Festival series of free live music park pop ups will get you under the autumn leaves, where you’ll be entertained by fantastic local musicians.

Our Kyneton pop up music event is a brilliant day out for the family, kicking off with the Funkateers 9-piece New Orleans-style street band playing outside the Kyneton Farmers Markets and along Kyneton’s Piper Street from 12-1pm. The band will then appear on stage in the beautiful Kyneton Botanic Gardens, adjacent to the Children’s Adventure Playground, for an afternoon of live music from 2-4pm.

Closest entry gardens point to the event is Clowes Street, if walking. Or enter the Botanic Gardens via Mollison Street entrance and find a park.

About the Funkateers

A 9-piece Street Band will bring the party including a bouncing 3-piece Drum Section, booming Bass and five fabulous Horns. Not only do the Funkateers put the FUN in their show — but they present an opportunity for audiences of all ages to see instruments and hear music that they otherwise might not have been exposed to. From Horn-led Funk to Salsa, Calypso, Reggae and some Australian favourites there’s something for everyone!
