Click here for the latest COVID-19 advice, updates and recommendations regarding travel to the Macedon Ranges, including the status of Hanging Rock.

Don’t worry about racing – relax with others.  Bring your tents and gear but have it all carried for you.  Suitable for mountain bikes, adventure and gravel bikes.  Terrain will range from gravel roads to rough and rocky single track and 4WD tracks.

Day 1 – 55km Woodend to Mount Franklin

Riders will traverse the rolling backroads of the Great Divide Cycling trail and enjoy the twisting single track of Wombat forest to the lunch stop at Trentham (30km).  From Trentham, there will be challenging single track and gravel roads to arrive at a beautiful private property at the base of Mount Franklin.

Enjoy a great night camping under the stars with dinner in a wonderfully restored barn and kick on with your mates. Remember you’re only halfway there!

Day 2 – 41km Mount Franklin to Castlemaine

A full breakfast is provided before departing for the 20km section to Vaughan Springs. After a morning tea stop, riders will tackle the Dry Diggings Track to Castlemaine (21km).  This is a challenging route with sections of single track and exhilarating descents. The pain will be in the steep climbs.

Cost:  $180 early bird before 5 October 2019 then $200

$85 non-rider
