Buttlejorrk Annual Art Exhibition – Ceramics and Craft
Buttlejorrk Artist Collective’s 49th Annual Exhibition celebrates the festive season with colour, craftsmanship, and creativity. Bringing together a vibrant mix of painting, sculpture, pottery, jewellery, textiles, woodwork, and more this exhibition is all handcrafted by talented local Macedon Ranges artists. This popular annual art exhibition is a highlight at the Old Auction House Gallery in Kyneton.
Founded in 1976, Buttlejorrk was established by a group of potters who wanted to share their knowledge and showcase their work collectively. Their name pays homage to the original name of an area around Sunbury and Diggers Rest, as all of the artists draw deeply from the beauty of our our region.
Over the years, the group has grown, with some original members still actively involved alongside artists who have joined in recent years. The individual artists within Buttlejorrk come from diverse backgrounds and styles, encompassing both traditional and contemporary works. Their artistic journeys have led them to expand their horizons, incorporating a wider range of arts such as painting, sculpture, jewellery, textiles, metalwork, and woodwork.
