Rye Whisky Tasting
The Ministry of Rye is delighted to return to Kyneton and reunite with our friends at Animus Distillery to bring you a true Rye Extravaganza: Ryes of the World!
Whilst Rye Whisky is made in many countries, Ryes of the World will showcase five Ryes from five different Rye-producing nations (sort of…you’ll see what I mean shortly). If you’ve never tried Rye Whisky, want to learn more about it or love it like we do- this class is for you!
Make an evening of it- contact our friends at the Flophouse for great deals on accommodation.
Guests attending will get to experience the following:
– ‘Shake your own’ session – make your own cocktail: The Ministry is currently working on a brand new cocktail for you to make and enjoy!
– A guided tasting of 5 whiskies from Australia, Canada, The Netherlands, the USA and wait for it… Japan!
Wait? Japan doesn’t make Rye Whisky?
Correct but they had a go once. Back in 1987, Nikka released the Nikka Malt and Rye Connexion, the only Rye Whisky made in Japan. Whilst it has been discontinued for the past 30 years, the Ministry of Rye has acquired a bottle and is looking forward to sharing it with guests coming to this event. A true ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ opportunity!
– Food to accompany your tasting class
– An interactive experience with an opportunity to ask questions and have some fun along the way!
This is an event not to be missed! Hope to see you there 🙂
