This itinerary can be enjoyed as an overnight stay or shortened to a day trip.
Kick off the morning with a pastry and coffee from the Lancefield Bakery, then head off on your wine tasting adventure in the country (if the Lancefield Farmers Markets are on when you’re visiting make sure to drop by).
Drive through rolling farmland dotted with chilled out cows and happy sheep to arrive at your first cellar door tasting at Parkside Winery and Farm*
Their inviting cellar door is housed inside a lovingly restored Clydesdale horse stable, adjacent to the historical Parkside homestead circa 1890.
On arrival, you will be welcomed by owners and winemakers Darryl and Jenny Ward. Specialising in Sparkling and cool climate wines, all the wines you can taste at Parkside are grown, handpicked and vinified on the property using minimal intervention and traditional techniques. Gourmet stone baked pizzas are also available if you are feeling a bit peckish!
Parkside is also a working farm so you can include in your visit a chat to the resident cows and horses that roam in the paddocks around the Cellar Door.

Parkside Winery: From 12 noon to 5.00pm weekends and public holidays. Closed over winter. Replace with Cleveland Winery if closed (open weekends from 11am).
Tip: If you enjoy bike riding, consider cycling less than 5km from the village of Lancefield to Parkside. You can then loop your way back to Lancefield via Curly Flat Vineyard.
A scenic drive through more rolling farmland brings you to Curly Flat Vineyard. This is the location for many an exclusive lunch event in collaboration with top chefs such as Frank Camorra, Andrew McConnell and Ian Curley.
This small, estate-based vineyard and winery is as pretty as a picture. And its wines are renowned. Winemaker Matt Harrop and owner Jenni Kolkka are committed to producing perfection.
They produce Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay White Pinot and Sparkling.

After a lazy morning exploring Lancefield village, head off on a scenic drive to award-winning Lyons Will Estate.
This artisan winery specializes in award-winning Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gamay and Riesling. The hallmark of Lyons Will Estate is its hands on, family owned approach. All vines are hand pruned, hand groomed and hand-picked, ensuring the best quality possible from budburst to the final bottle.
And to celebrate ten years into their journey, Lyons Will Estate have taken the plunge and have invested in a new cellar door space, which is truly a reflection of their terroir. Perched on the side of the Cobaw State Forest, the cellar door encompasses 180 degree views of their estate along with a stunning elevated view of the ranges as breathtaking backdrop. Contemporary and sophisticated, it is a must-see when visiting the Macedon Ranges.
