More from Kyneton Botanic Gardens

Love the idea of a garden wedding? Dating back to 1858 the Kyneton Botanic Gardens is steeped in history. The Campaspe River runs alongside the gardens and there are large, magnificent specimen trees with 17 listed by the National Trust of Australia.

Other features of the gardens include bluestone garden walls and an old-worldly wrought iron main gate. The garden also has a rotunda, a fairy ring of trees, a drinking fountain dating back to 1902, an old restored gardener’s cottage and a riverside walk along the Campaspe River. There are so many picture-perfect areas for your wedding photography, whilst the gardens themselves are only a few minutes’ drive from the centre of Kyneton or a few minutes’ walk from the railway line.

Please note, while bookings are essential, you cannot reserve a dedicated area within the Kyneton Botanic Gardens – it’s first in best dressed on the day as to where you set up.

Booking forms and enquiries can be made directly with the Council. See website link for more details.
