Hunter-Gatherer is a boutique, family run winery set in the beautiful Macedon Ranges just 1 hour from Melbourne and 10 minutes from Woodend & Kyneton. Our large, rustic function space can currently seat up to 112 people in accordance with current Covid restrictions. The barrel hall/function space is beautifully lit with fairy lights, views over the vineyard and plenty of room to move and socialise. The property has an 1870’s farmhouse next to the cellar door, large open outdoor areas with 360-degree views of the vineyard and rolling countryside. Sunsets here are stunning and make for perfect evening photos.

Venue hire includes use of our warm finished, timber tables and modern black chairs. Other items available for use include a large cinema screen and sound system, a mobile stage and an open fireplace with leather lounges. Large black sliding doors into the function area are perfect for making a grand entrance for the married couple. A large lawn area in front of cellar door is perfect for ceremonies. We offer up to 10 – 12 dates /year and only 1 wedding per week, so we can focus solely on your special day and we really get to know our couples in the lead up to their wedding day. Couples love that the venue is tucked away in the countryside, lending itself to be a private space, yet with loads of uninterrupted views and guests really love the relaxed atmosphere.

We are flexible with couples organising their own catering/food trucks etc or we can recommend fabulous local caterers. There is an indoor food prep area available for caterers to use. Our winery offers couples a relaxed and picturesque winery wedding in the beautiful Macedon Ranges with many boutique, b&b’s dotted around the area for a weekend long event.
