Hedge Farm – Private Functions – Wedding Venue

Hedge Farm, is a privately owned 20-cre property with a history dating back to the mid 1800’s. It is Macedon Ranges unique accommodation and function venue. The rustic barn, stable building and lush green gardens are distinctive spaces for music afternoons, private celebrations, food and wine lunches and weddings. Located in Carlsruhe, just ten minutes from Woodend and Kyneton and one hour from Melbourne, makes it a convenient setting for both locals and Melbournians.

Wedding Venue and Unique Function Venue

Exclusive use of the property for private or corporate functions gives access to all our unique rustic spaces and can be booked for either intimate gatherings or larger formal functions for up to 100 guests.  Our options for functions include The Old Barn and Rockhill Stables. Both of these spaces open to an outdoor courtyard area.

Hedge Farm is a licensed venue and serves a great selection of wines from our cool climate wine region. We work with the best local caterers to provide menu offerings from food truck goodies, buffets, shared platters, canapés or more formal sit down courses. Guests are delighted by the variety and quality of food options and our stand-out approach, which is personal and customised.

Accommodation

Hedge Farm is also a special escape for those wanting an alternative stay in Macedon Ranges. Guests can choose to stay in Merino Station, which was once a three-room railway station. Moved to the property from Merino in the western district of Victoria over 30 years ago it now nestles in our English gardens. Its romantic modern country style interior retains much of the charm and character of the 1884 building. The station is a gorgeous self-contained cottage with veranda, open fire-places in lounge and bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, large bedroom, custom-made egg bath and chandeliers. A perfect romantic retreat for one couple, with a minimum two-night stay for weekends. The station is where our brides and grooms choose to stay.
