About Hanging Rock Views

The four purpose-built luxury suites at Hanging Rock Views are some of the nicest rooms in the Daylesford Macedon Ranges region, each with its own ensuite, kitchenette and lounge area. Plus breakfast included!

The contemporary design and layout includes the highest quality fittings, plus all the mod cons needed to make for a memorable stay.  The suites are individually decorated and named after the landmarks viewed from your room: Hanging Rock, Mount Alexander, Mount William, and Spring Hill.  These views are amazing, taking in a 180-degree view, with the famous Hanging Rock so close you feel you could touch it!

The 4 x suites include one Deluxe King Suite and three Deluxe Queen Suites.  All have smart TV’s, heated floors, individual reverse cycle air conditioning, block-out blinds, kitchenettes with microwave, induction cooktop, and fridge, as well as modern double-shower ensuite, and LED lighting enhancing the interior ambiance.  Furnished with a couch, table and chairs, rugs, and comfortable beds with quality bed linen.  Each suite has its own paved outdoor patio, with table and chairs to take in the extensive views. The sustainable and energy-efficient design make Hanging Rock Views a wonderful destination all year round.

Breakfast provisions are supplied in your room – bacon, eggs, tomatoes, bread, butter, oil, cereal, milk, spreads, tea, coffee, salt and pepper (for you to cook).

The location is second to none, there is so much to see and do with the best of the Macedon Ranges at your doorstep.  Wineries, dining out, artisan workshops, historic buildings, award-winning gardens, nature reserves for site-seeing or hiking, bike rides and scenery, as well as incredible wildlife only metres from your room.  You will want a few days to make the most of your visit.

You won’t need to travel far to enjoy Victoria’s best food and wine.  With several wineries nearby including Hanging Rock Winery and Mount Towrong Vineyard, as well as craft beer at Holgate Brewhouse, or gin at Big Tree Distillery.  Dine at Hanging Rock Café, Kuzu Izakaya Japanese restaurant, or Kyneton’s famous restaurant strip including Source Dining, Colenso, and Midnight Starling.  Or pick up some delicious produce from local suppliers and providores for your very own “Picnic at Hanging Rock” – berry farms, organic fruit and veg, locally grown beef, home-made ice cream, you name it. Even our bakeries boast award-winning items such as vanilla slices, sourdoughs, and Australia’s best pies!

Hanging Rock Views is home to hundreds of kangaroos who graze right up to the rooms, plus wombats, deer, and numerous birds such as kookaburras, eagles, and parrots.  The 135-acre property also has many species of native flora, as well as cascades and a waterfall on site that can be viewed on your wanders through the bush.  Indigenous culture is an important part of this country on which three tribes shared a meeting place: Wurundjeri, Taungurung, and Dja Dja Wurrung.

The shared Lobby is a large area that can be used by all.  This room is furnished with couches, lounge chairs, and desks positioned around the room so couples can have their own space.  As well as a large antique dining table for sharing the experience.  If you are traveling as a group for an event or holiday, this is a real bonus.  Additional kitchen equipment is also supplied, such as a large fridge, integrated dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, and plenty of coffee, tea etc.

Off the lobby is a sun deck, formal garden, BBQ area, and fire-pit for use by guests. The views of Hanging Rock from here are outstanding and you will be drawn to this space!

While Hanging Rock Views is perfect for holidays and weekend getaways, it is also ideal for midweek leisure bookings, as well as travelling business people, and even small-scale corporate retreats with a table in the lobby for meetings, and wifi throughout.
