Get a taste of local Macedon Ranges gin on this self-drive tipple trail through the stunning autumn countryside, starting in New Gisborne and ending in Kyneton. Nominate a designated driver or book accommodation and stretch your gin tasting out across a couple of days.

Get a taste of the mountain

Kick off your Gin Tipple Trail in leafy New Gisborne. This industrial-style bar and tasting room by Mountain Distilling serves up award-winning gin, along with their own vodka, single malt whiskey and Agave Blanco.

Open Friday 4-9pm, Saturday 12-9pm, Sunday 12-7pm.

Big Tree Distillery | Newham

Taste artisan gin on Jack's Springs Farm

Go on a farm gate adventure in the countryside and taste award-winning gin at Big Tree’s rustic distillery door.

This farm-crafted delicious gin is distilled on the picturesque Jack’s Springs Farm. Sit indoors or al fresco and enjoy their small-batch gin with a cheese board.

Big Tree Distillery open weekends 11-4pm, Monday 10-3pm or by appointment. On occasion the venue may be closed for a private function.

Gindu | Newham

Enjoy a yarn whilst you sample

Take some evocative landscapes, some unique botanicals, distill this down, and Gindu is the result.

Slow down, and pull up a pew at our new cellar door in Woodend, the home of Gindu, and let the flavours and aromas of Gindu take you across our great land.

Animus | Kyneton

Chill out in Kyneton's Piper Street Precinct

The final leg of your Macedon Ranges Gin Tipple Trail is Animus, located along Kyneton’s Piper Street Precinct. Located at the far end of Piper Street, this popular cocktail lounge and bar serves up their very own award-winning range of Animus gin. Sink into one of their comfy leather couches, order a delicious platter showcasing local produce and kick back with a gin cocktail or two.

Open Wednesday to Sunday from 12pm.
