Movies on the Hill – The Social Climbers
Grab a glass of wine and some cheese and biscuits on your way in, and join us at the world’s highest and craziest formal dinner party.
Eight Social Climbers, most of whom couldn’t climb, and led by Christopher Darwin, (who had disproved his great great grandad Charles Darwin’s survival of the fittest theory by failing biology at University), set off with a butler and mules laden with a Louis 14th Dining suite, intent on holding the highest formal dinner party on a snowy 6500m peak in the Andes, should perchance they get that far. Never have things gone wrong in such an entertaining way! Two of the survivors, (including Woodend local, Michael Dillon whose near death experience on the mountain set another altitude record) and Sally Guyatt will be there with some wonderful extra anecdotes to accompany this crazy adventure.
Ticket price includes a glass of wine or tea or coffee for adults and all will come in handy. Snacks will be available to buy. Supporting the work of Woodend Rotary, whose current President is Sally Guyatt’s sister – Rosemary.
