Lost Trades Artisan Workshop – Silversmith (Jewellery) workshop

Join us for this two day workshop where you will explore the finer details of creating your very own ring and earrings in sterling silver.

You will be introduced to the techniques of sawing soldering and more by professional metalsmith and jeweller Dan Cox. Explore how to form silver using flame, hammers and files, hand crafting unique pieces that will be envy of all your friends! Dan has been teaching since graduating Queensland College of Art in 2009 and has taught with organisations such as the Brisbane Institute of Art, Flying Arts Inc., the Queensland Museum, Woodford Folk Festival, Moreton Bay Regional Council, Redland Shire Council, Gemfest and set up the curriculum at the University of Southern Queensland.

For this class – no experience is necessary as you will be guided through the process, step-by-step, unleashing your creativity in a fun and nurturing atmosphere. Even if you have tried your hand at metal-smithing before, you are welcome to join in the fun and further your knowledge!  All materials and tools are provided.
