Lions Gisborne Festival
The Lions Gisborne Festival in the Macedon Ranges is an annual event which is synonymous with Gisborne in December and brings the community together to celebrate the festive season.
The Festival consists of a street parade that brings together many local kindergartens, schools, childcare centres, sporting and dance groups, as well as emergency services, local
businesses, and other community groups.
At Gardiner Reserve, expect carnival rides, free children’s activities, market stalls, food vendors, business stalls + more.
The annual Street Parade takes place at 6pm, with fireworks scheduled for 9.15pm. The event concludes with the spectacularly colourful fireworks display.
The Festival on Gardiner Reserve, which is a free event, includes free children’s activities, market and food stalls, music and entertainment on the big stage, along with roving entertainers, and carnival rides.
Please note that Google Maps is not displaying the correct location for this event. The event is closer to the Aitken Street side of the Reserve.
Aitken Street will be closed prior to and during the Street Parade, please park legally in the streets surrounding the oval. There is free entertainment both on the stage and on the oval. It is a n0-alcohol event for the entire family so please enjoy the night.
