The Gisborne Autumn Chalk Walk – School Holiday Fun for the Whole Family!

Bring the kids along for a colourful autumn adventure these school holidays!
30a Aitken St Service Road, Gisborne VIC 3437, Australia

Bring the kids along for a colourful autumn adventure these school holidays! And during the Macedon Ranges Autumn Festival.

Join us to help create the 2026 Gisborne Autumn Chalk Walk—a fun, free, hands-on chalk-art experience for children of all ages.

Six giant chalkboards featuring beautiful Autumn Festival designs by local artist Chris Roy Taylor will transform the Aitken Street Laneway into a vibrant community artwork—and kids are invited to help bring it to life!

What’s happening:

  • Colour in large-scale chalk murals (chalk supplied)
  • Meet magical roaming fairies from Myths & Legends
  • Face painting for children
  • Enjoy tasty refreshments from 3 Little Pigs and Kaffeine Bar

Where:  30A Aitken St, Gisborne. 3437 (the laneway between 3 Little Pigs Cafe and Kaffeine Bar)
When: Wednesday 15 April, 10am – 2pm
Tickets: Free, no bookings required. Just come along on the day.

Plus, don’t miss the 2026 Macedon Ranges Autumn Festival Colouring Competition! Entry forms will be available on the day for kids to take home and complete.

Can’t make it on the day? The chalkboards will remain in place, so families can keep adding colour in the days that follow.

Bring your friends, your creativity, and your imagination—we’d love to see you there!
