Exclusive Mount Macedon Spring Garden Tour

Join us for a bespoke tour of the most beautiful gardens on Mount Macedon:
Shepherd’s Bush
Glen Rannoch
Duneira Estate
Tugurium

We start the tour at Shepherd’s Bush, a highly celebrated garden built by architect Kevin Edwards and horticulturist Chris Williams. Shepherds Bush is the highest residence on the mount and the garden reflects its cool climate beauty.

Next we head to Glen Rannoch an original Mount Macedon hill station created in the late 1800’s on the steep side of the mountain with stony creek running through the property. Glen Rannoch provides a divine experience to walk amongst its cool fern glades and extensive arboretum of heritage-listed trees.

From Glen Rannoch, we head to Duneira Estate where we enjoy a garden and house tour, including a viewing of Stuart Stoneman’s incredible Art Collection.

Lunch will then be served in the Duneira Stables. Local food and wine will be served as we sit by the fire and hear about the history of the hill station movement of the late 1800s on Mount Macedon.

Lastly we head down the mountain to renowned plant collector and author, Stephen Ryan’s private garden, Tugurium. Stephen will join us and tell us about the creation of the garden, and allow us some time to quietly wander around.

Please be aware some of the gardens are steep and require non-slip walking shoes. Please bring an umbrella and water bottle.

We will meet at the Macedon Train Station at 9.30am and return to the Macedon Train Station at 4.30pm.
