The Kyneton & Hanging Rock Racing Club hosts 15 race meetings each year in the Macedon Ranges. This includes thirteen at bet365 Park Kyneton, and two at iconic Hanging Rock.
We proudly present a number of feature events, including the bet365 Kyneton Cup, Christmas Raceday, New Year’s Day at Hanging Rock, the bet365 Hanging Rock Cup, and Woodend Cup Day.
Our iconic Kyneton Cup is a highlight of the Spring Racing Carnival, held annually on the Wednesday following Melbourne Cup Day. This prestigious event draws racing enthusiasts from across the region and beyond, offering an exciting day of competitive racing, socializing, and community celebration. The Kyneton Cup is recognised as a public holiday within the Macedon Ranges Shire, underscoring its importance to the local community and the wider racing calendar. With a rich history and vibrant atmosphere, the event continues to be a cherished tradition that brings together patrons of all ages to enjoy a memorable day at the races.
Nestled alongside the Campaspe River, our racecourse is surrounded by beautiful old elm trees and our famous racecourse hedge, offering a picturesque setting. We strive to provide our patrons with a relaxed, community-focused race day experience—welcoming everyone, whether you’re dressed to the nines or keeping it casual in a polo shirt and shorts.
Whilst we don’t offer on-site stabling for horses, our club serves as a local training centre for numerous horses in work throughout the week, providing extensive employment opportunities across the Macedon region.
Our grounds offer an ideal venue for hosting functions, featuring both indoor and outdoor spaces with a range of room sizes to accommodate diverse requirements.
