Feel like getting away? Relax and unwind in our self contained in-house accommodation (entire guest suite), enjoying panoramic views of Mt Macedon. Sleep in a luxurious king size four poster bed. You will have a separate entrance, bathroom and kitchenette with modern conveniences such as a coffee machine, microwave and oven. As well as filtered water, Bluetooth stereo, TV, Netflix, DVDs, WiFi, games & books. Your own fully fenced garden, plus shared outdoor washing machine, dryer & undercover outdoor dining table.  There is also an outdoor heated spa. We are very dog and pet friendly!

The space

Galahad’s Animal Sanctuary is set on 30 acres and is an animal rescue sanctuary. Galahad’s Animal Sanctuary has rescued many animals, including camels, horses, donkeys, cows, sheep, alpacas, chickens and a rooster as well as dogs. We currently have 51 animals on site, but have rescued and rehomed many more. When you stay with us, all proceeds go to the feed and care of all the animals at Galahad’s Sanctuary. We will provide you with a small free tour of the sanctuary at no additional charge.

The property has two dams, it is well treed with large open spaces and has a beautiful view to Mount Macedon. Kangaroos, Possums and Echidna’s also live here.

You will be able to walk around the property, however please stay out of the animal paddocks without supervision, as there are large animals such as horses and camels in these paddocks.

Please note this is a working farm environment, it sometimes can be messy and smell like animals. Animals can be noisy e.g. a rooster who crows in the morning, and a camel who growls when she is pleased to see you.

Please remember to ensure the gates are always closed behind you.

Guest access

You will be able to walk around all the property, however please stay out of the properties paddocks without supervision, as there are large animals such as horses and camels in these paddocks.

There are beautiful areas for picnics or just to sit and watch the animals.

Other things to note

Dogs are permitted but must be well behaved and not chase the animals. We ask that dogs are kept on a lead, as we have a lot of birds and wildlife living here.

Short term agistment for your horse can also be made available during your stay.

Our home runs off water tanks so we ask that you are responsible with your water usage.

Gumboots are good (we have spare), and it gets chilly at night in Winter so bring your warm woollies. The stars are splendid.

An optional extra is for a professional photographer to capture this special time together with the animals. Duration varies, but around an hour. Includes photos supplied after professional editing with a download link. This extra experience is not only great for the photo album but also goes toward the feed and care of the animals at our sanctuary.

We can also provide you a small tour of the farm on arrival and introduce you to all our animal ambassadors.

Please see website for further details of the Sanctuary.
