Sustainable Living Festival
“A Celebration of Sustainability”
It has been shown that even small changes in the way we live can make a big difference in the sustainability of our planet. The Sustainable Living Festival, held in Woodend is a showcase of ideas and actions that we can all take to not only make our planet a better place to live, but our homes and local environment as well with products and practical solutions to inspire and inform visitors so they can enjoy living more sustainably.
The focus of the 2021 event is “A Celebration of Sustainability” and aims to engage a wider audience with activities and events that will attract people that may not otherwise consider sustainable living to be within their reach or their capabilities.
With the rise in awareness about climate change comes a responsibility for us all to do what we can to reduce the impacts and to ensure that as consumers we send clear messages to manufacturers and suppliers of household goods by choosing more sustainable options. The 2021 SLF exhibitors have all been chosen as great examples of this future-thinking and will be there to show us how to make those changes in our daily lives.
The Macedon Ranges Sustainable Living Festival aims to be a family-friendly day out, in an inclusive and engaging community-based environment and will be held alongside the ever-popular Woodend Community Farmers’ Market.
The festival is now in its 12th year, and showcases ideas, products and practical solutions to inspire and inform visitors so they can enjoy living more sustainably.
This is a free event for visitors and entry is open to all members of the community and will feature a line-up of 70 exhibitors, including community groups, free workshops, guest speakers and kid’s activities.
Hosted by the Macedon Ranges Sustainability Group (MRSG), a not-for-profit, member-based organisation focussing on projects, events, and practical activities that promote sustainable living in local communities. The MRSG are home to a number of community action groups made up of dedicated individuals working together to make the Macedon Ranges a more sustainable place to live.
