Mt Macedon Memorial Cross Dawn Service
‘To honour their Sacrifice, to salute their service, to learn from the price they paid; Lest we forget.’

The 2017 Mount Macedon Dawn Service will commemorate; the Centenary of the Battle of Beersheba and
75 years since of the fall of Singapore.
Poetry, song and personal accounts will portray stories of courage and loss amid these conflicts, recognising the connections of Macedon Ranges locals to the events.
Local students will play a key part in retelling these stories, including the traditional wreath-laying, the Last Post, minute’s silence and Reveille.
Concluding with a recent Mount Macedon tradition, an Aerial Salute, a fly-over of period aircraft from the Kyneton Aero Club.
Local scouts will provide a post Dawn Service sausage sizzle, tea and coffee. Gold coin donations appreciated
