Mountain Writers Festival 2026 Program Launch
This year, Mountain Writers Festival returns to Wurundjeri Country (Macedon) with the enduring theme of ‘Nature. Place. Story’.
Stories contain worlds. They can be friends, teachers, confidants – and provide necessary sustenance. Join us for a glass of local wine or a beer from Holgate Brewhouse as we unveil this year’s program on September 24 at our launch event Sustenance, featuring special performances from local festival guests, as they give their answers to the question “what sustains you?”
Sink into an evening of storytelling from award-winning author, academic and teacher Ilka Tampke, poet, essayist and creative writing teacher Andy Jackson and music by guitarist and composer Robbie Melville. Enjoy a glass of local wine or a beer from Holgate Brewhouse, get early access to festival tickets and take home a limited edition tote bag to celebrate the coming festival.
