Make Vitrigraph (Hot Glass) Stringers

Using a modified vitrigraph kiln, which allows molten glass to be pulled from the base of the kiln, participants will get to explore molten glass, as well as frit making, and bending stringers using a candle. These skills will be used to make detail elements to create a glass platter and set of coasters. All participants will be able to pull their own stringers and pre-made pulled stringers will be available for use in projects.

This class is run in Studio 1, Leadlight By Ettore. Leadlight By Ettore is a multi-generational family glass arts business who specialize in leadlight windows, fused and slumped glass, and mosaics. The studio teaches terms and ad hoc glass arts classes as well as completing new commissions and repairs.
