Get involved in ‘Citizen Science’ and help us survey for birds in the Macedon Ranges.
This biodiversity monitoring program will help you to learn more about woodland and forest birds in the region.
Head out to various sites to conduct surveys with expert field guides. You’ll be grouped in skill levels, with an expert in each group to show you how to spot birds.
Each group will have four to five sites to survey, with each survey taking approximately 20 minutes. There will be around 200m of walking involved at each site. Families welcome!
This is a free event with lunch provided. More details coming soon on how to register.
Meet at Black Hill Reserve, 281 Pipers Creek Road, Kyneton. Bring binoculars and cameras. Wear all weather gear and shoes appropriate for uneven terrain.
