Lost Trades Artisan Workshop – Travisher toolmaking masterclass

We are excited to confirm that talented toolmaker Claire Minihan will make the big flight across the pacific, travelling from Asheville, North Carolina to our workshop in Kyneton to run two master classes in toolmaking – and this is what she does to perfection. Her travishers have won the accolades of the best makers worldwide. Her fine furniture making has embedded her with knowledge beyond her years and has made her one of the most sought after toolmakers in the US today.

Spend three days with Claire shaping the wooden body of your travisher, creating the brass sole, tempering and grinding the blade and expertly fitting it to the tool. You will learn about blades and sharpening, and using your Travisher for years to come.
