Lost Trades Artisan Workshop 3 Day Clay and Plaster workshop
Clay and plaster workshop at Pom-me-granite Studios

Three days – set one week apart to allow your plaster to dry and work to be fired. May 11th, 18th and 25th.
DAY 1: Learn about original models for mould making and the various materials to use. Discuss the difference between hump, press, and casting moulds. Design and make one of each mould (total of 3).
DAY 2: Learn about the types of clay and when and how to use them. Make 2 pieces from each mould, (total of 6 pieces) your pieces will be biscuit fired during the week.
DAY 3: Learn about the basics of surface design and decoration. Prepare and glaze your 6 creations.
Finished and fired work can be collected 3 weeks after the end of class. Models will be limited in size to approx. 15cm cubed. The class caters for beginners through to those wanting to incorporate moulds into their ceramic practice.
The cost includes all materials, your finished and fired 6 pieces, your 3 working moulds plus tea and coffee. We are a long way from a shop – so please bring your own lunch/food. Maximum of 4 per class. $600
