Learn the art of relief carving
Learn the art of relief carving with Rocking Horse Maker and decorative carver Olivia O’Connor. During the class you will be taught about selecting the right timber, wood grain and carving with a selection of specialty carving chisels and knives. All tools are supplied.
Students have a choice of two panels to carve: Koi Fish Swimming or Gum Leaves.
Students will be carving with Jelutong timber. At the end of the workshop you will take home a beautifully hand crafted wooden panel to use as a decorative piece in your home. You will have the chance to use a wide selection of tools and learn new skills and carving techniques that you can continue to practise and perfect for years to come.
Cost: $250 and includes tea and coffee, all materials and expert tuition by Olivia O’Connor. (max class size 6 people).
