Llama Day Out
A fun day introduction to llamas
Llama Day Out at Hanging Rock
The Victorian Branch of the Llama Association of Australasia (LAA) is holding a llama education day on 11 October at Hanging Rock Reserve, Woodend in the Macedon Ranges.
The day will start at 10am and finish at 3.30pm, taking place at the A Shelter in Hanging Rock Reserve Eastern Paddock.
It is important to note that entry is via Colwells Road, Gate 10 and NOT via the main gate to the Reserve. Click on the event image for a map showing the way to the Gate 10 entrance.
There are several demonstrations planned for the day including llama husbandry, differences between llamas & alpacas, and a best-dressed llama parade.
Take the opportunity on the day to talk to llama owners and breeders.
Llama Day Out is open to the public, and entry is free.
Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the views towards Hanging Rock. Enjoy a fun day of patting, feeding, and maybe even walking a llama.
