To celebrate the opening of the new and fabulous Kyneton Community Park, Macedon Ranges Shire Council, is hosting a Garden Party – Picnic in the Park on Saturday 28 October 2017.
This is an all age’s community event that will be held in Kyneton Community Park from 2pm to 7pm.

For young children and families there will be: clowns and a magic show, Wild Action Zoo will be on stage, as well as face painters and a Teddy Bear’s picnic, story-time and a scavenger hunt.

For young people there will be a Parkour event and Battle of the Bands winner Lazerlips will be performing on the day as well as Jimmy & Paige, and Miette Lily.

For adults and all ages – Local clubs are providing opportunities for you to come along and learn how to play croquet and Petanque, there will also be Botany Tours of the Botanical Gardens and Tai Chi for all levels.

There will be musical artists and performances throughout the day, the municipal band will be creating old time atmosphere, as well as weird and wonderful roving entertainment weaving their magic through the park throughout the duration of the event.

Food vans will be on site all day with a range of delicious and tantalising treats.

The KCP Garden Party is to celebrate and acknowledge the tireless efforts of passionate local community members in partnership with Macedon Ranges Shire Council in making this park a reality.
So bring down your picnic and picnic blanket and find yourself a gorgeous spot nestled within the beautiful established heritage trees.

This is a car free event so we strongly encourage you to train, walk or ride to the event. We are also encouraging eco-friendly practices of bringing your own picnic cups and plates and/or taking your rubbish home with you.

This event is free and we are looking forward to seeing you there and enjoying the new Kyneton Community Park together!
