Glass Dialogues with Glass Artists Jude Walker & Natalie Ireland
“Glass Dialogues” brings together the collaborative practice of glass artists Jude Walker and Natalie Ireland, who have been working in close creative conversation since 2023. While their individual approaches differ the exhibition, with its combinations of warm glass fusing and casting, is shaped by an ongoing exchange of Newsletter March 2026ideas, materials, and perspective.
At the core of the work is the transformation of glass itself; of colour, and perception in 2D and 3D art glass and functional glass . Both artists are interested in
how glass shifts between states: solid and fluid, fragile and resilient, transparent and opaque. Through making, they explore subtle changes in heat, light, and colour which alter not only the material but
perception.
The works invite contemplation. Colour is used not as decoration, but as a tool to bend light, create depth, and reveal form gradually. Surface, thickness, and shadow play active roles, encouraging viewers to see familiar shapes and materials differently depending on angle, distance, and light conditions.
“Glass Dialogues” embraces contrast and exchange reflecting a shared curiosity about process, personal development, and the way creative practices evolve through conversation. Together, Walker and Ireland offer a
body of work that speaks across difference — a dialogue between two voices, held in glass.
