Dry Stone Walling course teaching ancient walling techniques by certified craftsmen/women. The course is held within the wonderful Tanderrum property, within the historic area and walls of Davies farm, surrounded by olive, almond and oak trees. A great weekend meeting new friends and learning new skills while experiencing the magnificent outdoor areas at Tanderrum. This event is a 2 day course on Dry Stone Walling for people who want to learn the ancient secrets of how to construct a wall that will last for generations. A dry stone wall has no mortar or centre fixing and is stronger than any wall if built properly.
It is for beginner wallers and even those who want refresher training if some walling experience. You do not have to be strong to build a Dry Stone Wall and many of our students are small framed with both men and women equally represented on courses.
This course is fully catered and includes an internationally certified instructor and information to take home. By the end of the weekend you will have gained real experience by building a wall as part of a team but you will also return home having a clear understanding of how to put a Dry Stone Wall together so you can start on your own project.Have a go – it is a great weekend in the outdoors building a wall and learning a new skill.
