The Annual Picnic at Hanging Rock Classic Vehicle Show  is organised by the Macedon Ranges and District Motor Club.

An event originally run to allow club members and some friends from other clubs an opportunity to meet for a picnic in the park with their families. It has now become one of,  if not the biggest, one day Classic Motoring exhibition days in Victoria. Featuring over 1,600 vehicles on display last year at the picturesque Hanging Rock Reserve just outside of Woodend in the Macedon Ranges.

Important Ticketing Information – Pre-purchase recommended
Visitors to the event will need to pre-purchase tickets online as there are no direct gate sales on the day. Based on past year’s experience, internet access can be intermittent closer to the gate, and you may not be able to purchase online as you approach the venue. As such we highly recommend you purchase your tickets online, and before you leave home.
Pre-purchased tickets then scan and enter at the gate.

Entry to Hanging Rock Reserve during the Classic Vehicle Show
Access to Hanging Rock Reserve on Sunday 14 Feb 2027 is exclusive to Annual Picnic at Hanging Rock Classic Vehicle Show ticketholders. Tickets need to be pre-purchased online ahead of arriving at Hanging Rock.

More about the Hanging Rock Classic Vehicle Show
The event is open for display vehicles of all makes, models, marques and styles with the only criteria being that it must be 25 years or older, able to be driven to the event, and of course it must be someone’s pride and joy. So – you will see a Mercedes next to a mini, a Bentley next to a bug, Jaguars of all shapes and sizes, the Toyo girls and boys as well as Rollers, a Delorian near to a Datsun, an Austin 7 next to an Alfa and so it goes.  And just for something different, some stationary engines, commercial vehicles, and of course a swarm of 2 wheeled classics (bikes) as well as displays from sponsors, a market and entertainment for the kids (of all ages).
Bring a picnic or purchase from one of the food stalls. Gates open 8am for show cars.

History of Picnic at Hanging Rock – Annual Car Show
For over 38 years the club has organised the Annual Picnic at Hanging Rock Car Show. An event originally run once to allow club members and some friends from other clubs an opportunity to meet for a picnic in the park with their families; it has now become one of if not the biggest one-day Motoring exhibition days in Victoria with over 2000 vehicles including spectators, converging on the picturesque Hanging Rock Reserve just outside of Woodend in the Macedon Ranges.

The event is open for display vehicles of all makes, models, marques and styles with the only criteria being that it must be able to be driven to the event, and of course, it must be someone’s pride and joy.
