And the best part? There’s a market happening every weekend across the Macedon Ranges from September through November 2026.
From farmers’ markets and local produce to handmade goods, vintage treasures and even a little French flair, each weekend brings another reason to explore the region’s villages

Saturday 5 September – Woodend Community Farmers’ Market | 9am–1pm
Start spring at one of the world’s top market towns. Woodend has been named one of the Top 3 Market Towns in the World for 2025, with its much-loved community farmers’ market recognised at the World Farmers Markets Coalition Awards in Rome. With more than 90 regular and seasonal stallholders, the market is a great place to fill your basket with fresh fruit and vegetables, honey, eggs, bread, preserves, plants, meat and other local produce. There are also handmade goods, live music and plenty of reasons to linger over a coffee.
Sunday 6 September – Gisborne Olde Time Market | 9am–2pm
With more than 150 stalls, the Gisborne Olde Time Market has something for just about everyone. Browse fresh produce, food and wine, plants, flowers, handmade goods, clothing, jewellery, books and more, with plenty of food and coffee to keep you browsing.
Sunday 6 September – Malmsbury Brocante Marché | 10am–4pm
For something a little different, head to Malmsbury for the French-inspired Brocante Marché. Browse vintage treasures and beautiful finds sourced from Europe and beyond, alongside a relaxed French village atmosphere.
Saturday 12 September – Kyneton Farmers’ Market | 8.30am–1pm
Held on the second Saturday of each month at St Paul’s Park on Piper Street, Kyneton Farmers’ Market brings together more than 50 stalls featuring Victorian farmers, food producers and makers. Expect seasonal fruit and vegetables, meat, eggs, sourdough, honey, jams, plants, wine, ceramics, jewellery and handmade gifts.
Saturday 19 September – Riddells Creek Farmers’ Market | 9am–1pm
Held on the third Saturday of the month, this accredited farmers’ market is all about fresh, local produce. Pick up sourdough, meat, vegetables, preserves and other seasonal goodies, with a strong focus on sustainability and keeping food close to home.
Sunday 20 September – Malmsbury Village Farmers’ & Artists’ Market | 9am–1pm
The third Sunday of the month is market day in Malmsbury, with local producers, artists and makers bringing together fresh produce, food, art and handmade goods. It’s a relaxed way to spend a Sunday morning in one of the Macedon Ranges’ historic villages.
Saturday 26 September – Lancefield Farmers Market | 9am–1pm
Make your way to Lancefield for a traditional country farmers’ market beneath the leafy canopy of the town’s Centre Plantation. Shop for fresh local produce and meet the farmers and producers behind it.
Saturday 26 September – Woodend Artists & Makers Market | 10am–2pm
Over in Woodend, the Artists & Makers Market showcases the creative side of the region. Browse paintings, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, handmade gifts and other work by local artists and makers, with food, coffee and live music adding to the relaxed market-day atmosphere.
Saturday 3 October – Woodend Community Farmers’ Market | 9am–1pm
Return to Woodend for the October edition of its celebrated community farmers’ market. Bring a basket and stock up on seasonal produce, bread, preserves, flowers and other local goodies.
