Here’s your chance to stay inside a converted railway station that was moved to Hedge Farm from Merino over 30 years ago.

A unique farm stay experience only ten minutes’ from the village of Woodend, ‘Merino Station’ offers a country-style interior while retaining much of the charm and character of the 1884 building.

5. Fellcroft Farmstay

Fellcroft Farmstay is by the Crozier family, who have been farming at the foothills of the Cobaw State Forest since 1862.

Enjoy a relaxing stay at a historic, bluestone and weatherboard Early Settlers cottage (circa 1862).

Sunnyside Cottage is situated on a 540 acre secluded beef farming property at the base of Mount Macedon.

Located within close proximity to the famed Hanging Rock, the cottage is also central to the historic towns of Woodend, Kyneton, Lancefield and Romsey.

This charming one-bedroom cottage can accommodate up to four guests, with a comfortable queen sized bed in the main bedroom, along with a fold out queen sized sofa bed in the lounge.

On cold days, snuggle in front of the original bluestone fireplace and play a board game. And when you wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed, you’ll find brekkie provisions ready to be cooked up.

Sunnyside will treat you to true farm fare, with locally produced smoked bacon and farm sausages, freshly baked homemade bread and jams with fruit from the garden.
