What to Wear & Practical Tips
What should I wear?
Dress for the weather and for comfort. Think country casual — and choose footwear that handles grass, gravel, and vineyard terrain.
How long should I spend at each winery?
It’s absolutely your choice — be prepared to get delightfully distracted by tastings, views, art, or live music.
What if it rains?
Budburst goes ahead rain-or-shine. Pack a jacket or umbrella — the wine will still be flowing!
Are dogs welcome?
Some venues love dogs; others don’t. Check listings before bringing your pup.
Lost something?
Contact the venue or email events@mrva.com.au.

Will there be food?
Absolutely — from grazing boards to gourmet food trucks. Each winery offers something unique.
Can I bring my own picnic?
Some allow outside food. Check individual venue info.
Outside alcohol is not permitted.
Are non-alcoholic drinks available?
Yes — water, soft drinks, coffee, and tea at most venues.
Is Budburst good for non-drinkers or designated drivers?
Yes — and they enter for free! Enjoy live music, scenery, food, and a great day out.
Wine Tasting & Shopping
Can I purchase wine?
Yes — and it’s a great time to buy limited releases and festival specials! Ask venues about Collect Later or shipping options.

Tastings are included, but RSA rules apply — stay safe and sip responsibly.
Do wineries accept cash?
Most accept both cash and card — but card is more common.
