Wormwood House, a two bedroom early 1900’s house with a separate, self-contained studio, has been reinvented into the latest of Flop House’s luxurious lodgings. This elegant hideaway is complete with polished floorboards, a fully functional fireplace and subdued styling synonymous with Scandinavia.

The house’s owners have been mindful in maintaining the property’s 20th Century charm in a makeover that pays tribute to the house’s original detail. Its very much a “home away from home” but also has the convenience of being one block to Piper Street and with all the modern conveniences, including Air Con and Wi-Fi making it suitable for business travellers or those wanting to take part in one of Kyneton’s many workshops.

The house and studio are available to rent separately or together, making it suitable for couples or groups. Wormwood house is spacious and inviting, with large open plan kitchen and dining room, cosy living room, bathroom with claw foot bath. One of the two bedrooms boasts an intimate ensuite.

The studio is entirely self-contained, with a queen-size bed, ensuite bathroom and kitchenette. There is several garden areas and guests are welcome to pick herbs or flowers for the table.

Minimum two-night stay on weekends in the main house.

Rates are based on one couple and additional charges will apply for more guests.

Guests staying at Wormwood receive a 10% discount when they book into a local workshop. Flop House accommodation also offers guides, bikes, picnics and gourmet in-house meals, as well as massage menus.
